My holidays are officially shortened.
But I'm not sure where I'm going to though. I should really weigh the pros and cons for each option though. But for now, there's nothing I can do until next week that is.
Went over to Holiday Plaza today cos Dad had to go back for a number of patients. After that bought DVDs at this shop that has a secret concealed room to store all their DVD and trust me that place is like a pirated DVD haven. They have the latest movies, the classics, movies a few years old, tv series and even anime.
Chareli note this, they have the entire Naruto and Bleach series. But think you'll have to spend a fortune though.
But shops like this are quite the norm in JB nowadays. They put out those CD covers and original discs on display but the snake pit is really just concealed behind 2 walls. Don't think the police or whatever are stupid enough not to noticed. Think it's more like mutualism for them. The police get all the 'duit kopi' they want while the vendors get away scot free.
Seriously, all these talk bout tackling piracy is really kinda impossible considering pirated DVDs or even music CDs are really such an integreted part of our lives. Besides paying over RM40 for a piece of music CD is really ridiculous. Everything costs a lot in Malaysia. Thanks to our puny currency.
Ok whatever it is, here's to a better year next year. A stronger currency, less crimes, less disease outbreaks, just about a better prospectus for all those in Malaysia.

Guess what? 2006 will be over in a flash soon. What a year, what a year...
Officially ended formal school ie no more homework, uniforms, school rules, etc.
My 2 year stay in Singapore ended too. I'd say these 2 years there is really more like a love-hate relationship. I won't exactly say Singapore is a wonderful place. I hate the ahbengs ahlians who think they are so cool, kiasu shoppers, beastly mrt commuters, sucky education system and singaporeans with this I-AM-SUPERIOR-OVER-MALAYSIANS-SYNDROME. ( like a certain classmate of mine. Doesn't matter she lives in a HDB flat and wears cheap clothes- not that it is a bad thing, really- and borrows without returning.)
But there are really quite a number of stuff that Singapore did do a better job in. Like how the city is clean, safe. System is fast and efficient. Corruption free. The roads are always well lit and pot hole free. And how the government's planning to set up free wireless service around the island next year onwards. Yup, these few points really make Singapore one of the most desire places to stay in but IMO, I don't think doing A-Levels there is a really good idea. But well, I don't think the time has been wasted. Met lots of really interesting people, great friends, yada yada...
Looking back, I don't think my decision was that bad after all. So what if I took the road less travelled( among my friends that is)? So what if I took a long 2 year pre-U course? So what if my holidays were miserable and I always couldn't just go home every other weekend?
So what if I kept failing my papers? *sniffles*
Life isn't a mere paper chase right? Enjoy whilst you can. And that is by being a carefree albeit dependent student. And for me, a perpetually broke one.
But.. but.. the feng shui people did forecast 2006 to be a bad year for me, financially!!

And that was just my 5 pence worth of thoughts. Feel free to disagree with me.
That's all for now.
Happy Boxing Day people!
Btw, I really think JUST FOR LAUGH GAGS are hilarious. Period.

p/s: To Ruxing, CONGRATS for scoring 99.9 for your SAM exams!! and getting into medicine UNSW!!! *envy envy*

Happy winter solstice everyone!

the day for tang yuan is finally here! but i doubt i'll get any to eat later tonight.
this year's monsoon rain seems pretty angsty compared to previous years. yeap, our country and also our southern neighbours, everone's plageud with this stupid non-stop rain and bad weather. luckily we've seen relatively good weather since wednesday since rain fall was minimal.
there's this house next to the apartment seems to be hit really hard. a large portion of the wall which acts as the fence broke off together with a large chunk of mud due to land slide.
*snigger snigger*

this particular TAN SRI should probably have some sense to build more concrete walls this time and spare a thought for his poor neighbours who have been greatly inconvenienc-ed this time.

neways people! christmas in few days' time,

It sure has been long since yours truly updated. Basically cos nothing much happened.
Gosh, life is sure dull here. And poor me hasn't been able to go for any trip at all thanks to my busy parents. Well, guess there's always a chance next year since they are seriously very busy at this time of the year.
Been watching 'Monster'. Has a super duper interesting plot. But it's just too... er.. sinister? I mean there's so much evil lurking in the story itself that I have trouble sleeping at night these days. Maybe I'm being exaggerating here. But for a couple of times, I got nauseated after watching episodes of Monster. Maybe it was caused by me doing nothing but sitting my butt there and not peeling my eyes off the screen for a sec or maybe something evil made me sick.

Arghh something is damn pissing me off right now. I wish I could give him one tight slap but then again I can't really blame him for what happened. After all it's only right for me to play the role of the supporting girlfriend that takes in whatever shit thrown at me right? Grrrr ... thinking of it makes my blood boil again.
Ish I'm so bloody bored now. Monster will only last me for a few more episodes before I have to get the next DVD from a particular sissy.
Fucking Malaysian cinemas are only showing Night At The Museum late this month and not even showing The Holiday at all. Don't think they'll be showing Death Note 2 too. Sometimes I seriously wonder how do Malaysians survive. Broadband here isn't that amazing at all. Still fucking gets on my nerves by its slow-ness.

Neways, I just read Kenny Sia's blog. Sometimes I think he's actually pretty stupid. How can anyone survive without a penis?? Doesn't he know castration only involves the removal of the testicles?? And his jokes are so hackneyed that I don't find them funny anymore.

Whatever it is, I'm just bored and frustrated.
Sales my ass. Shopping in JB is about as pathetic as me right now.
I need a hero.

My naughty phone had a misadventure yesterday. It slipped right out of my pocket and was left in the cab. Lucky for me cos I realized earlier while we were having dinner and that Dad remembered the cabbie's name. So while I sit at the restaurant and sulk over my carelessness, Mum and Dad went to the station and called up the guy. The waiter even thought I was fuming cos my food took about 20 over minutes to be served. I like the place though, cos they serve excellent chendol! Yumm..
Anyway, back to the story,I think I totally lucked out yesterday. Considering bumping into Ms Yiak in school and getting everything done to having found my phone back which we only collected from the honest cabbie this morning.
It's not that I'm so hard up for this lousy phone, just that I'll be in deep trouble if the cabbie decided to phone his friends and relatives in India or even Greenland. Anyway, the phone must have been a turn off for some since it was turned off when I got it back this morning. Hah.. kinda lame this is...
All in all, think I should really be more careful next time. Don't ever put my phone into a shallow pocket. Carry it in your hands if you have to. It's best if you have a carrier or sorts. But JB is notoriously famous for handbag snatching cases so, maybe staying at home is safer? Or just don't take any public transport.
Anyways, Malaysia is getting increasingly un-safe nowadays. Read a news where this 2 women almost got robbed by robbers from 2 cars that sandwiched them in order to make them get out of the car. They were unsuccessful of course, and they fired a shot at the driver.
Just wondering why would the robbers target them of all people? Consider this, they are 2 middle aged ladies, operating a grocery shop in the middle of an estate. I wonder if those robbers did calculate their steps carefully.

I think people especially the ladies should be extra cautious when moving about in Malaysia. Not even the small towns like Kluang are safe these days. There goes the saying crime only happens in big cities.
There is even this company that specializes in making tear gas guns. Only available to those working in the professional body. What a pity. But it was a move to prevent it from getting mis-used by the baddies. Think my parents are applying for one. Mind you, you need a licence to even own one.

Kinda lazy to upload prom pictures now. Will do so when I'm in the mood for it. Actually dial up isn't that bad after all. Uploaded some pictures on friendster just now and I'd say it didn't take a century to do so like I expected it to.
Well, that's all for now. Kinda have nothing much to say for now.

Yep, prom was such a bore. Thanks to idiota emcees-- Sonia a.k.a transvestite looking miss universe and Marcus the fat ass.
In fact, I think Sonia fared better than Marcus. At least she didn't go around asking the audience whether she looked cool or whether this guy will miss her or not which Mr Fatass did.
Poseur band, Ecstasy killed the mood for the night with their horrible music. I think more than half of the people left the hall to do something more fruitful like taking pictures than to sit in there and endure the lousy music.
Redemption did much better of course.
Disclaimer : me not being biased here cos they really can play and sing better!

Besides that, we had our prom king and queen crowned. Yu Hao and Sheila who are rumoured to be a couple won. Much to my surprise.
Note the sarcasm
The finalist had their usual round of Q&A with lots of questions starting with "What is" and ending with "and why?".
And one of the girls had the most cliched of cliched answers ever. When asked what is her biggest aspiration/ambition, she said it is to become a singer so that she can get famous and touch people's lives, peppered with a few grammatical errors along the way.
Roll eye.
And I thought AJCians can do better.

On the other hand, it was pretty fun to see how people interpreted retro as. This girl who we nicknamed as "enthu kia" came as I don't know, something like a french maid's dress complete with the head dress and apron. I'm not really sure if u call that a french maid but it was kinda common as a cos-play costume. Too bad I didn't manage to snap a picture of her. That girl's pretty weird , having known her since my days in Nanyang JC as a friend of my friend.

For the Best Dressed awards, it was more of a popularity contest than anything cos the audience had to give a standing ovation to vote for the nominees. Stupid ass way of voting I'd say. This guy who wore a plain looking jacket and shirt almost won based on his popularity . I bet he got chosen to go on stage simply because he is transvestite Sonia's friend.

After that, some of us went over to The Balcony at the Heeren for drinks. Didn't stay for too long cos we were actually feeling kinda bummed out and bored by prom.
Stayed overnight at Joanna's place. Me and Hannyee initially planned to leave her house at 6 the next morning but when I woke up at 6.50 and tried to shake that girl awake, she didn't even budge. Joanna tried too at 7 plus but we both went back to sleep. In the end I left her house at 1 plus in the afternoon to clean up the tornado inflicted room.

On another note, today has been a pretty fruitful day for me. Went over to school to get my predicted grades. Although I got pretty pissed off for waiting over an hour to see Ms Yap, I'm glad I bumped into Ms Yiak as well. Luck was on my side as I managed to get my predicted grades form Chemistry as well. Since Ms Chua a.k.a bad sex life is busy honeymoon-ing away in Tokyo, Ms Yiak stood in for her. Hope she gets some nice humps over there and and not terrorize the new batch of JC1s as much as she did to us.
Yay! Now all I have to do is go over to IDP to let them send in my application. Bah, didn't know application fees costs AUD100 per application. Such blood suckers! Hope everything goes smoothly over there. I'm tired of running about trying to look for teachers.

Can't wait to see my sissy baby ! I hope it's next week.
Meanwhile, people please watch Prison Break! It makes my heart stop beating! Wicked!

As in Dorothy from Kansas. You know, the one with a dog named Toto and a tin man, scarecrow and lion as companions on the mission to destroy the Wicked Witch of the West !
I don't know why, but I had always imagined Dorothy to have big curly black locks. And she wears a blue and white checked dress and black mary janes.
Yeah I think my hair is a teeny bit too curly wurly for me liking.
Oh well, perhaps I'll grow into it.
Had a crazy and tiring day. Rushed from JB to school to get Mr Yong's signature, lugging my 2 bags around. But I don't regret having them as companions. I need precious lappie to watch my fav shows on youtube. Hehe, how ironic! Watching tv shows on the computer instead.
And on the way to school, this cabbie asked me whether I went under the knife to get my double eye lids done. Funny uncle, like I will admit even if I did. I swear my eye lids ae getting triple or even quadruple these days. Nyahaha, and meanie me's not gonna spare an extra 'eye lid' to those poor single eyelid-ers. Kekeke....

Kinda getting a bit sick of shopping around for prom dresses. Shops in JB are seriously pathetic.I mean those in City Square. Ewww.. I bet they have the same supplier for all their clothes. Dresses made out of cheap, rough cotton + polyester, ugly limp and soft PVC belts, lacy and yucky leggings, they are all trying to emulate the retro look which is kinda like the gaga these days. And SO hackneyed by all these try-too-hard-but-still-look-ugly-and-cheap AHLIANS. And I SO regretted chosing retro as the theme of this year's DND.
Shall just stick to something vintage and classy. Think I'll look ridiculous trying to pick up a trend that just won't work for me. I'm a tried-and-tested kind of girl and I like it:))

Meanwhile, oh what joy! I discovered episodes of Amazing Race 10 on youtube! Thank you to these kind souls! It's still one of my favourite shows and still as exciting as ever. And we have the same people back : gay couple, married couple, bimbos, dating couple who always kiss and make up, power mums, and so on. But I think I'll never be one of those people racing around the world 'cause I can't :
1) Read maps
2) Navigate myself around places i.e have a bad sense of direction
3) Carry a backpack and run, jump, hop, climb everywhere with it
4) Keep cool when things go wrong

Fooh... think those people who actually make it are not only physically but mentally strong and lucky as well. Saw many teams who actually fell behind because of bad luck. I think that is one of the main reasons to why people actually get eliminated. Because of cabbies from hell who actually lead them to their doom. Too early to tell who'll win this season though. Yay, shall continue after this. It's kinda addictive and I'm willing to forego my sleep for this even though me have to wake up early tomorrow.

And it's down to the final 3 on ANTM cycle 7!!!
Melrose aka Smellrose is the woman I extremely don't like. But she does take good pictures and have this (put on) pleasant personality. I have this bad feeling she'll win this time. Arghh!! Can't believe this!! A bitch to win ANTM??? So far it has never happened and I'll puke on Tyra if they choose her!!! Speaking of Tyra, she's getting fatter and more self absorbed this cycle. All she talks about is herself, what she's done, the difficulties she's been put into but still rocked it. Gah, that woman needs to let people talk more instead. It's not like she hasn't any opportunity to talk when she has a talk show herself.

and OH! 8TV is showing season 3 of the O.C!!!!!!!! YAY!! I'm not sure whether channel 5 shows it and even if it does it must be at some unearthly hour with no publicity. That's weird considering the OC is one of the more popular shows today. Anyway.. it's on at fri nights at 10.30 pm. Although this is the season with lots of tragedies, still can't wait to know what happens in the middle.

And now me shall return to watching me favourite show =]
