So the other party were standing over there actually.
Next stop was the Chateu Barossa. Oldest winery in Barossa Valley.

And we had a chance to tour around their cellar.

This place stores wine I think. Those barrels don't come cheap. Average of AUD1000 each. Not a bad place to rob. Er... maybe not. They weigh a tonne.

And these are for port. Those barrels are antique, passed down from decades ago.

After that, plenty of wine tasting!

They have dealcoholized wine here at AUD4.50 each. For the kids! I think it's kinda cute.
Next stop was wine tasting again. Well, what dya expect? It was a tour to Barossa Valley after all. Nice scenery as expected.

Oh and we nicked one or two grapes off the vineyard. It's really sweet like those grown for eating.

I don't know why they made us stop by this really little town which was really so dead when we reached cos all the shops were closed.

Uh, somehow I seem to have lost all enthusiasm to blog(for this post). Lessons have started proper. Hate those long and boring lectures. Actually they are only 50 minutes long. And the lecture theater's always bursting.
Am having a streak of bad luck here. And it all has something to do with the free Adelaide connector. Ok, ok, at least we still have free transportation here.
Toodles for now.

Busy, busy week! Mainly cos TFM is here! But he'll be gone sooner than a blink of eye too :'(
Spent the past few days going to places with him. And I'm really too lazy to post all the pictures taken over these days , just a few ones taken today.
Went for the day trip to Barossa Valley today, which is actually my 3rd trip there but then again, the place is so big I really don't mind going there again. Freaking tiring. Mainly because I walked all the way from my place to the Oaks Horizon where TFM and his family were staying and where the pick up point was. Gosh I can't believe I actually did that. And the walk was sooo... never ending. And I was sooo running late. And the stupid bus sooo never came.
Ok whatever, I did manage to reach there in time. And it's not like the bus will go off without actually waiting for me.

Barossa Valley is about an hour plus' drive away from the city. Really a must go if u're a wine lover cos it's the heart of viniculture(not very sure of the spelling) in the whole of South Australia!
First stop was the Barossa Resevoir and the Whispering Walls
Yeah, the walls do whisper. More like talk actually.

Cos if you stand at this end of the wall, where the guy in blue is, say something, another person standing all the way here,

Can hear what you're saying, loud and clear. Damn cool huh? But it's all gotta do with physics I guess. So, you have the brains, you figure that out. Loads of ooh and ahhs from everyone. Neuman, ( chris' bro) had fun complaining bout the ants and spiders to his dad all the way at the other side.

ARGH! Early day again tomorrow. This has really gotta be continued...

I see notes in yellow, red and blue,
I see coins in gold rolling around,
I see money FLYING out of my bank account,
What a WONDERFUL world, yea.

Brilliant isn't it. I admire my own wittiness. Heh.
SOBS! I spent AUD295 on books for 3 subjects today, just for semester 1 commerce subjects. Those kanasai ppl keep coming up with new editions and make the older ones obsolete. Hmmph! At least I don't have to buy any books for psychology since it's only my electives but they "strongly encourage" us to get one just to access their online tutorial which can only be done so with the access code available with the text book. Since there are cheapskates like me everywhere, the ever enterprising publishers decided to sell just the code alone for AUD14.95 -_-''' Very enterprising indeed.

I joined the scuba diving club in my uni too. Not cheap again. Sigh... at least mum said it was ok to take the AUD325 course to get my diving licence and another AUD150 for diving gear. Walked around Rundle Mall with TFM yesterday and after that took him on a tour around campus. Yes, he's finally here but will be gone soon. :'(
Shopping is fantastic too! Sales everywhere but mainly for summer wear. People do come over to shop! Especially during April or June!
Had a walk along the Torrens River which is just behind my campus. Wonderful stroll with the not too blazing sun and wind too. We walked all the way to his apartment which is not very far actually but I was totally konked when I reached home.
Oh yeah, starting to get chilly in the morning started from yesterday. Summer's ENDING!!! Actually the weather is even better, just that it's a pretty bad idea to be wearing tank top, mini and open toe sandals early in the morning.

Yay! Going to Glenelg tomorrow with TFM :)) Shall upload photos of the past few days another time.

It's kinda funny that there aren't many magazines here that cater for teenagers. Like seventeen or something. Not that I'm in need of advice from teen mags but just thought it'll be a good way to source out for some good buys and find out where people within my age and budget group shop. Sigh.. haven't been out shopping also since I can't find any company. That's so sad. I think I should check up Glenelg the sea side town next week when TFM is here. I can't wait :))))

OMG!!! BRITNEY'S GONE BALD!!! What the hell?! It doesn't look good anyway.

Finally bought a study table from IKEA. Had such a hard time screwing the legs up. Stupid IKEA furniture..

Here's a photo of Mittens, the resident feline.

Mittens like to snoop around my room. Caught u in action didn't I, hah! I still like Mittens a lot despite her being such a spoiled and rotten cat.

Oh yeah , some Aussie slang for Chareli. They call kissing pashing here. Barbie is actually BBQ, 'rents are parents. That's all I've gotten so far. Haha.. in case some guy comes up to you and ask if he can pash ya.

Happy CNY everyone!

Just finished a steamboat dinner with some of Jie's friends and we went for some grocery shopping at the Central Market. It's fun I think. There are so many Asian grocery shops too. Even more spoilt for choice than in Malaysia. They have canned mangosteens and quail eggs. -_-''' Since Central Market is in the Chinatown area, there were some lion dance performances going on too. I think KL's pretty impressed when I mentioned that I joined e pugilistic and lion dance society then. Ahah, kononla... He said I joined for the guys.Oh, Puh-leeeze...

I think the Ozzies really support their local bands too. Cos they're pretty good actually. I recommend Evermore! Another famous one is Wolfmother, they won something at this year's Grammy's.
Lurvve this song, Lights surrounding you by Evermore. The girl in there is Emily Browning or something in Lemony Snickett's a Series of Unfortunate Events. Remember? That's what I've been told la. For all I know it might be one of her lookalikes.

Bout my trip to Victor Harbour, I think it was pretty brainless for them to actually bring us to this place which doesn't have anything attractive this time of the year and on top of that, having to endure the horrendous weather. There's an island there which has little penguins inhabiting on it but they only come back at dusk. So what was the point of going there right smack in the middle of the day??!! Geez.. it felt more like being sent to exile island with all the wind, sand and rocks not forgetting the sun. Which was so mercilessly burning us all.

That's Granite Island on the opposite joined by this long bridge.

Can actually take this horse drawn tram across to the island. Costs 5 bucks though.

View from Granite Island.

Next stop was an animal park.

Lucky for us, this fella was awake and walking. Rare cos they sleep 20 hours per day.

It was pretty yucky actually. Cos you get icky kangaroo saliva all over your hand and have to tread around carefully cos the kanga poo was all over as well. Guess most of the people didn't really care. How could they?!
OK la.. guess that's all for now. Too many pictures to post anyway.. And there's quota on the internet usage here. How sucky is that?

@5:27 PM

This is the side door from my room which leads to a small garden and the study room.

That pretty muchs sums up my room. Save for another chest of drawers at e other side.

What a tiring day. Took the free Adelaide Connector from Rundle Mall which is just opposite the uni but it was going the opposite direction from mine.So had a free tour around North Terrace. Stopped at the wrong stop and ended having to walk quite a distance to get home. Getting a bit lost at the same time. Grrr... why am I always so blur? Lost my shades as well. And this stupid guy , a Malay Petronas scholar actually said " You really should get a pair of sunglases you know?". GRRR... as if I didn't know better and need your advice! He reeaaaallly reminds me of Khairul though. And he calls himself RINGO. Reckon he's a big fan of The Beatles. Otherwise Ringo just reminds me of D-I-N-G-O the dog.But quickly bought a pair of replacement. This one costs so much more :((

This stupid cat made me late for my enrollment talk today. Luckily I didn't miss out much. She sneaked her way out when I was leaving the house this morning and refused to get inside although I tempted her with kitty treats , tried to pick her up but she retaliates by scratching me, chased her in etc. It all didn't work and I wasted almost an hour. Left earlier than usual today cos I wanted to catch the free bus. Hmmph stupid ungrateful cat... In the end had to leave her outside while she enjoyed basking in the sun. She eventually spent e whole morning napping at KL's sister's place which is actually just opposite ours. And this picky feline eats only tuna with whole prawns at 6pm everyday. Grrr... I want a cat's life.

Did my class enrollment today. Damn, it's so different from the days where you just get your time table planned out for you (and complain all the way). I only have 4 subjects per semester and each semester requires me to attend 2 lectures and 1 tutorial per week. So while my timetable may look empty it's actually not at all since I have to spend about a recommended 6 hours per week on each subject. Still haven't enrolled for my elective subject. I'm kinda interested in Chinese, gender studies and psychology. Initially wanted to try out for Critical thinking and making arguments(something along those lines) listed as a subject under philosphy but their assesments are pretty daunting I think. And I think it's so unfair to have different enrollment dates for locals and foreign students. We get all the leftovers and they get to pick the best dates. GRRRR...

No flowers for Valentines. Only a small box of chocs from sis cos her cat scratched me. :(

Grrr.. don't know why I can't add images on. My laptop is getting extremely cranky these days. It's freaking slow. I want a new lappie!! But e pink vaio is currently out of stock.
Went to the uni for these couple of days. Nothing much really except for some campus tour, useless briefings and some social events. There are quite a number of Malaysians, but PRCs are the ones dominating the whole campus for now cos the locals do not need to report to the uni yet until next week where the orientation for everyone starts. My course is so filled with PRCs too! Sigh Sigh SIGH...

Took the bus to uni today. The public transport system is pretty complicating here. They have separate tickets for peak and non- peak hours. Geez, used the wrong ticket this morning which costs more. THere's a free bus service to the city which passes by the uni too but it comes at an interval of an hour. So it's pretty inconvenient as well cos of the timing. I'm having trouble trying to get up at 8.30 every morning after slacking for so long. And deciding on what to wear everyday is such a chore! Wore a tank top today and my arms almost got burnt! It's so scorching hot here. And the skies are still bright at 8pm! Going to a uni organized trip to the beach this fri and they said temperature's gonna be 40 degrees. Think I better wear long sleeves instead.

Sigh... I don't know if I'll be able to make such good friends like I have back home. :'(. I miss everyone...

Why does ABSOLUT vodka costs so much? It doesn't taste any different from the others. Or maybe I can't tell the difference, being the amatuer drinker myself.
And why does everybody drink coffee? Somehow I just have this feeling that some people, particularly the banana teenagers drink coffee from coffee chains, drink just for the sake of showing that they are somewhat more mature , has the big city buzz around them and you know, trying to emulate scenes from movies, tv shows etc.
Nono, I'm not saying everyone hanging out at Starbucks or The Coffee Bean are poseurs ( I go there for their broadband! ) I'm just being cynical can??!! Also, if they like caffeine so much why don't they just go drink red bull instead of drinking so many cups of ten-dollar-per-cup-coffee.
Just being a bit buey song at those rich people.Rich kids especially.
Jiejie also said I'll be a convert faster than I thought once I'm in Au but I'm so going to prove her wrong.

Had my first venture into the LV shop at Starhill during the KL trip recently. The staff are friendly if you're in the company of their patron.
I don't think I've ever been to Starhill before.Had dinner at the basement level where all the restaurants are.Kinda reminds me of Raffles Place. Mythai by Jim Thompson is there too, but it was too packed to eat there. Anyway, we had dinner at this fusion restaurant. One of their house wine is this 1945 vintage. Guess how much it costs? A whooping RM61000 plus plus. Anyway most of the wine of their list starts at RM500. Maybe because they are mostly pretty vintage. Jiejie said we should call for the expensive wine, and if we're unhappy with it, we can get away without paying for it. Haha.. Makes me wonder if people really do that. And that's what she gets from watching an advertisment on TV with Jamie Oliver disapproving dozens of wine before finding the brand that they were advertising for.And the restaurant staff all get to drink the opened bottles of wine. How cool is that if really does happen in real life. KL kept joking bout opening one bottle of "yi-wan-kuai-de-jiu" that night but in the end he settled for mojito (mo-hee-toe) which looks pretty unappealing to me , with bits of mint leaves floating around and he was adamant at ordering a lychee margharita mocktail for me. Think he doesn't know better. Heh.

Think I better buy more sunblock. And moisturizer. And alotthatican'tthinkofrightnow.
And I think my bags have already exceeded the limit. And I still wanna go shopping in Sg! :'(
