NOT AGAIN...*inhales*
*exhales*
Why oh why, does this always happen to me?
And so I woke up early this morning , eager to start my diving lessons. Had to travel for a fair bit so woke up 2 hours before lesson starts which was at 7.
Dilly dally here and there and ended up catching the 830 train to Noarlanger Centre which was where the diving centre was. Estimated travelling time was about an hour so I figured 30 minutes late wasn't really a big issue anyway.
And so I boarded a train on Platform 5, but...

Ended up boarding the wrong one departing from the same platform going the total opposite direction.Since Noarlunger is the terminal of the route, I told myself as long as the train stops and announce for all passengers to alight then it should be my stop alright.
Except that it wasn't. Cos Gawler is the terminal for that route as well.
It was like trying to get to Jurong but ended up in Changi instead. Do you have any idea how idiotic that sounds?
Don't ask me what I was doing on the train all those time.
But there was this kind lady at the station who told me she had the same experience as well just that she landed herself at Noarlunger. I was just too distraught to be polite and make small talk.
So I called up the dive centre and told them I was at Gawler, as usual they chuckle and say "no worries! (prob with a smiley face)" and I sat like an idiot all the way to Adelaide(which took an hour) and then Noarlunger ( another hour on the same train).
So finally reached there, and started my lessons and all. Will only be doing pool dive for this week and ocean dives next week. It was really difficult trying to stay down in the pool since I was so buoyant. Grrr I feel like humpty dumpty...
Shall blog more about diving next time.
And when it was time to go back, managed to get a lift from this nice guy who will be picking up me and another girl, an exchange student from Germany whose only staying for 1 sem and living 1 street away, tomorrow morning as well.
And on the way back,
Nice guy:" So how did u end up in Gawler anyway?"
Me shocked but remained compusure , blabbed everything out and then couldn't resist it but asked how he knew.
Nice guy:" Oh cos Rosie(our instructor) told us this morning that"there's another person joining us today as well but won't be at the moment cos she ended up in Gawler.""
:'( mummy!!!!
Talk about first impression.
Nevermind, tomorrow's always a better day.

Booyah!Guess I was really emo that day and hence the super emotional post.
Thanks for all the encouragement I got from you people ( who actually read my blog ). Makes me miss you even moreeeeee.
THANKS,
qw and chareli. the bestest roomies anyone can ever get! Now I know why people say your roomies either turn out to be your greatest friend or fiend cos you people sure make great friends. Hah qw too bad you had to return the favour to console me pulak. Haven't chatted with you for so so long now. Must keep me updated k? Chareli, you're like a rock! Should really just quit architecture and studying altogether and set up some counselling thingy whatever to just cheer people up cos you're good at it yea :)
BARNEY!! You know I bought that stupid purple Barney junkfood tee in Queen's Couture just before leaving??!! You should go back and take a look too maybe it's still there. Ok la it wasn't stupid anyway something to remember youo by. Haha. I look stupid wearing it around anyway.Yeah Barney miss you and hope you're not burnt out with e so many activities you're involved with. *huggies*
Last but not definitely not least, dear Christine. I think you've really played a big part in the process of me (like what you always say) embracing God's kingdom and becoming one of his children. And I can't thank you enough. Life here would definitely be different without you. Thanks for the gift too XD

And to whoever out there who basically will just love me the same come what may.
Hope I haven't killed anyone yet with all e sap oozing out from this post. Keke.
On another note, guess what I did today?
Cook something from scratch attempt #2 (ie not pasta, instant noodles etc)
But Jie came back just in time before I burn her kitchen down.

Was wondering if I should cut the potatoes into smaller pieces before boiling them or otherwise.Sadly, logic didn't get the better of me and I did the latter which took ages to make e potatoes soft. And... after 2 years of not having physics as part of my(curicular)life, (nah that's a pretty lousy excuse anyway) I forgotten about the archimedes rule where if you put something of substanial volume into a pot brimming with water, the water will sooner or later flow out and risk running into the gas holes(?) of the stove. Since logic hasn't been a good friend of late, I was lucky to still have my reflexes intact to run for the ladle.

This is what I call cheating since it's not exactly preparing something from scratch. But Jie took care of it.
All in all, preparing dinner wasn't as disastrous as I thought it would be since I only did the easier half of the job. But practise makes perfect righto?
And, just found out today that Dad got hospitalized few days before cos of dengue fever too. I feel so terrible for not calling back for so long. Sigh getting emo again. Thank God it was only a mild case of the fever but we shouldn't be getting too complacent here. That's the second case of dengue fever we have in our family. Bloody mosquitoes. If I had a wish it would be the extinction of mosquitoes. Don't think that'll made a damn difference to the food chain or ecosystem. And they sure made life hell for me since young. (The evidence are on my legs). GRRR.....
Look at her!!

Cutie kitty!

I'm pissed.I'm pissed because people think you're stupid, couldn't make it into taking something science related, that's why you take commerce, as unglamorous as it sounds.
I think the colleges in Malaysia give accounting a bad name. Any ah beng and ah lian can do business. Or even medicine, law and pharmacy.
Even ah hua who can't string a proper sentence in english can become an accountant.
She says:" hELLo ^-^ mY
n@m3z is aH hUa, or ______(insert any taiwanese/hongkong/malaysian(?) teenage pop idol's name you can think of) o~~~~~ pReAsuRe tHaT m3T u o~~~ i aM sTudY bUsIn3SS iN xxxxx nOw woR @_@ i wll gRdaUaT( or any other permutations starting with GR) @T 2 yEaRs nEH~~~~" when asked to introduce herself. (phew! that was sure hard to type)
That's why in Malaysia, people who are not up to date, backward, and basically just don't know better think doing a commerce degree is only for losers, cos doing science obviously makes you appear smarter.
And they give you the look. And instantly label you as the BLACKSHEEP of the family since your family members are all in the science field. And you, are the stupid one.
I'm pissed because I'm subjected to someone's judgement, where his/hers stupidity reigns over he/she. They think that you did business because you couldn't get into biotech/foodtech/some degree in science. And that statement has never sound more wrong. Go do some reading up or whatever your puny brain can take in before you pass such comments and risk being ridiculed at!
Why? People don't even get to choose what they want to do these days anymore is it? Or does everyone have to go for the best course they can get into with whatever results they have??
That's why, when half of my conscious mind is busy defending the choice I made, the other half is still pondering if I made the right decision, or why did all these happen to me or why didn't I choose something like dentistry or pharmacy which would have been if I were to apply earlier. And I hate it because I'm affected by how people think about me. Because I think people think I'm not brainy enough for science. And I even think that I'll make myself appear better by doing something like medicine or dentistry.
Once again, I'm wondering if I made the right choice in life.

Eeeniieee minniiee mynniee moe!

Sony ericsson K610i

Sony ericsson Z610i

Motorola V3x
So how? Which one to choose? SEk and V3x is free with the $29 cap plan(min spending of $20 per month) where as SEz is free with the $49 cap( min spending of $30 per month) or $10 every month on the $29 cap plan.
Actually I saw someone with the SEz and she's some super hiao Malay girl. Scholar obviously. With a big wanton( go figure it out yourself) Hmmph so smug for what? If it weren't for our parents paying the bloody government such high amount of taxes, you wouldn't even get half your fat arse here even if you swam all the way here.
Anyway, Jo you're right! The phone indeed looks better in pictures. It's not as pink in real life. Deviate more towards fuschia and the white part makes it look plastic and kiddish. And the surface is really glossy which I don't really mind but I'm more a matte person ( not for lips la). And the hiao wanton had a plastic protection cover on the phone but totally defeats the purpose of the phone having a reflective surface right?? Not eating pork obviously didn't do them any good at all. See, us Chinese eat so much pork and still end up smarter than them. Maybe they should take a cue from us or something.
And so, all 3 phones have a 2MP digital camera, blue tooth and speaker phone. ( and whole lots of other stuff that I wouldn't use)
BUT
SEk is RED
SEz is not that good looking and more expensive ( actually if I do end up spending $30 every month it wouldn't make much difference )
V3x is a Motorola so takes time to adjust and loads of people have the pink V3i also.
And why is it that V3xx is more expensive than V3x when it only has a 1.3MP camera? Besides the slimmer model?
So people, I need your advice before committing myself into buying a new phone which I would be using for the next 2 years! And I still have time till early next month to consider before my current credit runs out.
Aiks supposed to be doing my ADM assignment but it's such a B-O-R-E!
And I'm really glad I'm not doing architecture or something. Read Billy's blog (he's doing archi in UniMelb) and oh boy, his workload is like super crazy. Even Chareli seems busier than me(hehe for once, u siao woman). That's scary, considering we're only freshies, first sem first year students!!!
Aren't we supposed to chill and bum around as first year students? Oh well, maybe not. But all the seniors are saying how much they miss first year life. *gloats*
So baby dear, don't think you're any worried cos I know you're working your arse off preparing to be an archi undergrad. Hehe... I'll be cheering you on all the way no matter what :))

Weekends are supposed to be relaxing aint' it. But why do I end up even more tired during weekends? And I really really shouldn't push my tutorials to weekends. Okay, new week resolution -->
do my tuts during weeekdays!
Stop watching crappy television shows!
Stop watching Heroes for the second time!
Stop watching prison break and lost if you think they're lame!
This is really depressing but for some reason, I seem to have lost all interest for Prison Break. Think the 2nd season isn't as exciting. But I must watch this week's episode to find out what happens to Sarah. And LOST is so draggy now but I still wanna watch!! Heck, it's on a Thursday night after all. :))
Assignments blah! Started on the Information Systems assignment but it's bloody hard when I'm no Excel genius!!
Someone please help me with this :
How to calculate someone's age given his birthdate with a formula on Excel?? Shall start working on my ADM assignment this week too if not I really don't have the time this weekend. Had ice cream at Cold Rock (again) with Vong and Cory. Seriously that place isn't so fantastic really. I mean the first time I encountered it, which was in Shangri-La's buffet dinner, it was quite a fun experience but the novelty has worn off. And it's pretty expensive actually. But ONE thing : the ice cream scooper there is a really CUTE asian guy. I was kind oogling at him for a few seconds before telling him that I've already been served. (Damn!)
*now now dear, don't get jealous..*
FYI: Cold rock is this ice cream parlour where they have this big slab of rock that's like frozen (sounds bimbotic -_-)which allows you to mix the ice cream with an assortment of whatever you want without melting the ice cream. Geddit?
Hmmm what else? Went to Rundle on Sat with Jie and KL cos she was invited to this fashion show by CUE( a label ) in MYER( departmental store ) and she bought several items cos there was a 15% discount on all CUE items only if you shop at MYER. And the sales assistant are really the best I've ever seen!! Seriously (uhoh i think i watch too much kim possible). Cos Jie was looking for smaller sizes so the sales assistant went all over looking for them, even to the other CUE store in Rundle. *applaudes* But seriously, I think Jie shops like a taitai. She'll probably fume after reading this >_<
Oh and I went to church yesterday. It's at the UniSA city west campus but under Paradise Community church as well. I think it's really great :) And guess who I bumped into?? Fellow KLUANG-ITES!! They are 2 sisters from Kluang and used to study in my high school too! The elder sister was my bro's classmate and the younger one and me used to be in the Interact BOD under Poh Shing!!
*it's a small world after all*
But sad that they only know me as "Sherine's sister" but now they know my name la. Funny Jie was just telling me about her the day before cos they used to be tae-kwando classmates last time.
After church, went shopping in Marion ( a very big shopping centre in the suburbs of Adelaide) with Christine and her friends. So cool that her friend was able to fetch us there from church. And Marion really reminds me of Malaysia or Singapore shoppin complex. Cos Rundle is actually like a street mall. Nevermind, come to Adelaide and you know wat I'm talking about.
But seriously, I don't think that place is that great after all cos what they have there, it's all available at Rundle as well. Oh maybe the shops are bigger that's all. But if you have to travel by bus it'll take a bloody hour or so to get there. Sheesh and I was even planning to watch movies there next time. It's too far!!!
Oh yeah, and on Sat we went over to Target just to have a look at the Stella McCartney range she designed for Target
FYI: Target is a lower range shop so the fact that she decided to design a range of clothes to sell there means they are cheap(er than her usual stuff)
And there was really a HUGE commotion over it when they started selling early last week. There were stampedes at Target stores all over Australia early in the morning. So us curious 3 went to take a look and see what items are left after the killing. My my, the only sizes they have left were 12 and above. Seriously speaking, a smart retailer shouldn't stock too many pieces of clothes in large sizes. LIke 90% of the items should be below size 10 cos seriously, with all the skinny craze going on people die die also must buy small sizes. And the left over large sizes are just plain mocking at those who didn't manage to buy anything in smaller sizes. Maybe Stella was just being nice and practising TOKENISM ( a cynical and relatively small or trivial positive act towards members of a minority group)Something I learnt in psychology lessons. It's like an action evoked as self defence cos imagine what the world will say about Stella if the clothes she sells are only in XXS sizes. Haha I'm a genius at application. Kidding la..And what else? Oh yeah, the clothes weren't that fantastic after all. But KL said they gave away the clothes hanger with STELLA McCARTNEY written on it. Wow.My, this post is super lengthy and I myself hate reading really lengthy posts with extremely small fonts.( like scared there aren't enough space to post what you want to say like tat) So if you don't like it, don't read it.And do I sound mean? I couldn't help it.

I miss Malaysian food. And I mean those Malaysian food back home, not the watered down versions they serve here at a ridiculously high price. In spite of that, had a very nice fried Singapore noodles last nite at this noodle place near my house. They even had lap cheong in it :) Ahhh.. how I miss the taste of it. Although it was kinda dubious looking and I thought it was dried up kuey tiao at first.
Funny stuff happened today during lecture. Something plastic got burnt and stank the whole place. The lecturer was super blur, someone had to speak out bout the stench. Anyway that lecturer is always blur. And things only crop up when he's lecturing. Heh.
Secondly, my phone got lost (again) but was return to its rightful owner (again). Perhaps it's affinity but all evidence point to the pathetic condition of my phone that for the second time, no one wanted to claim it. STILL, I'm extremely grateful to the guy who bothered to pick it up and called up the house. Such nice people still exist. And he's a prc. Somehow that came out wrong, but what I'm trying to say is, not all prcs are conniving and scheming. And he even charged the phone for me :)
Actually been planning to get a new phone just that my phone still had 90 over bucks of credit (30 of my own and 90 free credit) so quite sakit hati also just to lose it like that.
And nope, not getting the MOTORZR after all. Although it's still a head turner but it's such an old phone after all and Christine said it's laggy. And I don't think I'll like to use a Motorola phone. Anyway , it also Christine who told me about the good phone deals on 3 when she heard bout my plight (on a budget but still want a pink phone with good functions and user friendly, in short a choosy begger) .
Yay!!!
Btw, cut disgusting raw chicken today too. Ewww...

Hello people, I'm a bored soul blogging in the computer labs of the psychology department. I came here planning to sign up for any suitable research I might want to participate in. Heh, I was wrong about psychology. Seems pretty fun and slack too. We only have tutorials once every fortnight and at other times, it's all SDL. An easy 5% just for participating in a research too. So what if we're just guinea pigs subjected to their manipulations? I think it should be fun.
Bummer diving lessons only start 2 weeks later and not this coming Saturday. Sheesh... at least I have more time to read through, study actually , the diving guide.
Hmmm... I really wanna buy a new phone.. and due to budget constraints, think it's best to settle for something like a MOTORZR although it's like so so old. And that's one of the few phones that come in pink too. Hehe.. Chareli calls me a bimbo all the time when I'm clearly not.
Ok, what else?
Oh yeah, gotten my results! Somebody say finally!
Yeah not too happy with it but *shrugs* at least I managed to pass everything even though it was by a margin(and you know what grade that is right?). Hehe.. my GP was sucky all along anyway and I knew it when it ended that I did screw things up.
And bloody math! My, my. Had no idea that I'll do so badly for it. Knew A was beyond attainable but was quite surprised when I couldn't even a get a B. Bah humbug!
Pleasantly surprised for Chem too! But since Jo said 70% of the AJCians scored an A for it, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones too.
That leaves Biology which I was expecting an A and that came out right.
Not good results but it's justified , like what Dad said.
Yay, going over to Lincoln to watch HEROES :)
But I still have another lecture to attend in 10 minutes. Sheesh.. sure beats being the one to wait though. Heh... Poor Corrinne and Vong. They are such nice people.
And I gotta think of what to eat for lunch !! I'm seriously extremely sick of anything Italian now. Yuck! Even tomatoes are enough to make me sick. Never been a fan of cheese but I am now declaring cheese as my official consume-able enemy. And and and... food is so expensive :'(
No wonder people turn aneroxic.
Nah, I was just kidding.

Jie bought a new wok over the weekend. Pretty good buy I think.

The box kept moving and I knew something was not right.

And so I opened the box to see this furry lump of grey fur sitting in the box.
Hah! Caught you, you fattie!
Feeling pissed off that I foiled her plans to stow away, Mittens decided to steal my keys from the bag.Little did she know that the keys weren't in my bag but right on top of the pile of stuff I have there. She totally bypassed it. Silly cat..

Feeling pissed off because she couldn't find my keys, Mittens decided to send hate mails to me.

Until she realized she is computer illiterate. Heh.

Eh I just realized I actually made quite a lot of grammatical or spelling errors these days. Shows I didn't put much thought in them.
Hmmm... know I probably sound freaking ungrateful for saying this but I feel like staying in a hostel. Sounds brainless too right? This place has TV, internet, printer ,Mittens to play with and stuff. And a huge and comfy room of my own too.
Cos I reckon can probably get to know more people staying in a hostel. And Lincoln College , the place I'm thinking of has a huge Asian population there too. Call me a nationalist or whatever shit but people do that--- stick to people similiar to them. It's not like I discourage mingling around but it's prolly easier to just mix around with us own people first. And those angmohs , the natives, mostly stick to themselves too. Sure, they are friendly towards people of different races too but most of the time won't stick or mix around with them, unless they are born and raised locally, which is a total different story.
Ok, but cos I'm actually saving my parents a lot of money staying here with Jie, so Mum isn't too keen on that idea. And the fact that Lincoln is pretty notorious for having these bar nights and all the drinking makes it even less impressionable to my parents. What an irony, Dad initially wanted me to stay there but me refused to cos I thought it'll be like another the shit Oldham Hall.
Hmm.. and Lincoln is only 15 minutes walk away from campus. Saves a lot of time and money on transportation too. The public buses here aren't that reliable. And bus fare is pretty ex too. THe stupid free Adelaide connector can go fuck itself. Don't think I'll trust it ever again. Especially during the mornings to campus. And actually the boarding fees aren't too ex too. Even cheaper than the shit OH. Oh well, still need D&M's concensus no matter what.
Sigh, another long weeek ahead.
Congrats to all who did well for A's. Judgement day tomorrow for me.

It's been exactly a week since we went to Glenelg , but here are the pics :)
Glenelg is like this sea side town with lots of summer houses those affluent ones probably to spend the summer at the beach. Lots of shopping there and eateries too.
Took a tram there which took bout 30 minutes.

The whole place looks like this basically.

I like this pic. The words there are just so apt and he looks so ready to go. Minus the cone of course.
The British have their fish and chips and the Aussies have their salt and pepper squid! They have it everywhere and it's always soft and yummy!

Booze is cheap! People in campus drink like mad. Like there's this drinking fest called Skullduggery in campus today. Just another excuse to drink.
Weather wasn't too good that day. Very strong winds and some drizzling too. It's so fun to see people scampering away from the beach. Stupid ang mohs... Always trying to burn themselves at every given opportunity.

Taken back when it was much sunnier.
Guess most of those who sat for their A's have already gotten their results. Sucks that I still have to wait. ISH. Agonizing weekend ahead. ISH. Was lying when I said I didn't care. I do care. Yeah, maybe. And Vong the dingdong kept calling to check whether I'm still alive.I hope I don't fail GP. PLEASE!!!
Skipped the 2 lectures today. Hehe naughty me. Guess this will be my first and very last time. Psychology is so freeaking boring!! And why the hell is the lecturer talking bout stars and planets? For a moment I thought I was in some astronomy lecture or something. Bad choice indeed. Should've taken some language. German sure sounds cool.Or even Spanish. Unlike French. It's so over rated. Hope I still have electives next year.

Sobs missing my baby right now :'( Life is so unfair.
