Pictures Galore!

Had a short gathering with HACOFOS on the 17th. Ended up in Billy Bombers, Marina Square in the end. We were planning to meet up in Orchard (but still went there for a short while). Hannyee's working in a cafe opposite Zara which I find kinda surprising. Dunno why. Just never thought she'll be type who'll get a holiday job. But even more surprisingly is that Joanna is doing relief teaching!! And it's in a lousy neighbourhood school, notoriously famous for being infested with Ahbengs, Mats and their Indian counterparts? What a picture of racial harmony...
Calista bought us goodies from Europe trip. How thoughtfuly for her. Don't know if she's working at the cafe where HY is though. We were supposed to have a sleepover at her place. Looks like it's pretty not going to happen now. Just realized that I really don't have a lot of time left here since I'll be away for the next few days. And if my plans with Chareli materialized, will be away for few more days too.
My 20th at TGIF with TFM <333
Try their ultimate mudslide! It's really muddylicious ( TFM invented this term). It's more like an alcoholic milkshake with Bailey's and chocolate in it. Yum yum.
Pressies from TFM! He handmade the small grand piano which doubled up as a birthday card. How sweet... Hehe... And I was really in need to change a purse anyway. Nevermind that it's not pink. Just in case I get a change in heart next time.

On the way back from KL the other day, we had a short stopover at Seremban. Went over to a friend of Dad's house to look at their latest edition to the family, the St Benard, Jordan!

He's really so so so so so so cute!!!!!!! Although he couldn't stop barking at us initially, he soon warmed up to us and allowed me to go near him . I think he could easily be the most obedient dog I've ever seen. I think he makes a good pet. Looks intimidating to scare away unwanted guests but friendly and obedient enough to make a good companion. Too bad his thick fur makes life pretty difficult in our tropic weather. He was almost too tired to be bothered with us after a while. And he kept slobering all over. Ewww....That's me looking pretty scared to go near when they first let him out of his kennel. He really listens to his master also. Btw, the family adopted this dog cos their daughter who works in the Pet Safari in Ikano suggested it cos he was abused by his previous owner. And it cost them RM6000 just for adoption alone, not counting the cost of building that kennel specially for him.

Btw, this dog is really heavy. About 70 over kgs. Can crush that puny chihuahua at the side. Scrabby the chihuahua used to have undivided attention until Jordan came along. Bet he must've felt threatened. And he's a big(not literally) bully too. That's a picture taken to compare those 2 dogs.
And that's all for now. Will be going up to Cameron Highlands tomorrow and Taiping after this. Sobs.

Jie jie is back! Went over to Changi to fetch her and had dinner at Ubin Seafood (again). Tat place seems to be our fav family eatery these days.
Anyway went over to Sg yesterday. This time round TFM drove in and we went over to Plaza Sing so that he can collect his phone from the Samsung shop.
And we watched Pan's Labyrinth.
It's this Spanish film about a little girl's fantasy as a form of escape during troubled times. More like a tragic fairytale I say. But it all depends on how you see the ending as. Obviously this movie isn't very well known at all with no publicity on the TV and stuff. So when we went into the cinema bout 25 minutes earlier, there was practically no one except for that ONE man and of all places, he was sitting right next to us. What an irony to sit next to someone in an empty cinema. And the people who subsequently filled in were all single, dirty looking man. We must've panicked a bit by then , thinking Pan's Labyrinth is actually a porno in disguise.(haha) But right before the show started, normal people like women, and students came fillling in as well. Kakaka.. wouldn't be too surprised also, considering it being an weekday afternoon show. Most of the people will be either working or studying while we shop and be merry. Ahahaha... *snigger snigger*
Oh yeah, the show was pretty gory. Some scenes only. The faries also looked so evil I thought they were the baddies. And the faun was so ugly! I thought he was a baddie too. No wonder it's rated NC-16. Definitely not your usual fairytale movie.
Had such a wonderful time with TFM. Sigh sigh sigh... I'm so going to miss hanging out with him and everything!!!! Especially listening to love songs on Class95 together. Hahaha...

Will be going up to Cameron Highlands next week since we had to send Jie's bf, KL to Taiping(his hometown) . Sigh, there goes my hopes for going to some seaside beach resort.

And bout my lost post, really wanna share those photos but just too lazy to do so. Maybe I'll go over to Starbucks or somewhere with faster internet connection and retype that post.
Till then, Adios!

Grabbed this off someone's bulletin board. Think it's pretty amusing. Hope TFM will be as loyal.

A man wakes up with a huge hangover.
He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is acouple of aspirins and a glass ofwater on the side table.
He sees hisclothing in front of him, all cleanedand pressed.
He looks around the roomand sees it is in perfect order.
So'sthe rest of the house.
He takes hisaspirins and notices a note on thetable:Honey,Breakfast is on the stove, I leftearly to go shopping.I Love you.
He goes to the kitchen.
Sure enough, a hot breakfast and the morningnewspaper await him.
His son is alsoat the table, eating.
The man asks, "Son, what happened last night?"
His son says, "Well, you came homeafter 3 a.m., drunk and delirious. Youbroke some furniture, puked in thehallway, and gave yourself a black eyewhen you walked into the door."
Confused, the man asks, "So why iseverything in order and so clean, withbreakfast on the table waiting for me?"
His son replies, "Oh that! Mom draggedyou to the bedroom, and when she triedto take your pants off you shouted,
"LADY, GET YOUR DAMNED HANDS OFF ME! I'M MARRIED!"

@6:00 PM

Woohoo! Sitting at Starbucks at Sunway Pyramid now to take advantage of their wireless. It feels damn pathetic to be here at a busy mall and right next to a theme park but not having to go anywhere else at all. Just don't feel like it anyway.
Had a good 20th that day, thanks to the furry guy who managed to cheer me up. He's really such a darling :)))
I have no idea why shops are still having sales now but I'll definitely be going for some shopping after this, when mum is back from all the seminars. Anyway the freaking shopping centre is having some loser-ish CNY celebrations. Hate CNY songs....

ARGHHH!!! I don't know what the hell is wrong here but every Deathnote video I open can't seem to freaking load!!!!! Grrr... this one's going pretty well , hope it sustains.
Went to the MFM again last night but somehow the chocolate-peanut butter smoothie this time round wasn't as heavenly as the first. Sobs...

Tsk... haven't got anything much to say this time round. Hope we'll go for some nice food for dinner. Didn't have any idea it's so freaking late now. Thought it was still around 1 plus.

I Kissed TEENAGEHOOD Goodbye.....

By making the hugest mistake in my whole life. Humongously huge, that's how huge it is. I don't even know how to spell that freaking word. Now all I feel like doing is to tear all my hair out.

I just found out that Melbourne actually conditionally offered me a place as well. Just that the mail landed in the SPAM folder.

Fuck it.

Anyway, watched this movie some time ago but I wanna commend on it's superb-ness.

Heard it won a few prizes at the Critics' Film Choice Award.
Now, if you're wondering what's going on in the movie poster, it's actually like this.
The whole family were on a road trip from their little place, which I don't know how to spell, to LA so their daughter, Olive, can take part in this pageant or small girls called, that's right, the Little Miss Sunshine pageant.
So , one of the many mishaps occurred along the way is that the gear of their mini bus got spoilt so the car can't get into the first and second gear. But after taking the mechanic's advice, to let the car move at a high enough speed to get into the third gear, they had to push the car and let it run, then chase after it. So farnee... Nyahahaha... and guess what? They had to do the same thing all over again whenever the car comes into a complete stop.
Lots of other funny stuff happened along the way too, including stealing Grandfather's corpse. Hehe... go watch if you can. Available only through illegal ways though. Was shown in Singapore cinemas last year but didn't have a chance to do so at that time.
Been feeling like shit whole afternoon long. But so grateful for all the birthday wishes received, especially from those old old friends who still remember :)

Ah.. the perils of eating

Actually this issue has been long debated by experts and my parents have been harping on it for quite some time now but after reading this article, "THIS FAT CAN KILL YOU"(ST, 13/1/07) , I'm getting a bit paranoid.
Ok, this fat refers to trans fat.

What are they : basically just partially hydrogenated plant oils. Was hailed as a good
substitute for saturated fat but actually brought more adverse effects than the
latter.

Why do they kill : exposed to high temperature actually solidifies it and making it clog arteries ,increasing the bad cholesterol level and reducing levels of its good counterpart, higher chances of getting coronary diseases. Bad enough?

Where do you find them: margarine
snacks for eg: crackers , cookies
fried food
fast food
baked food
sweets
coffee creamer or dairy creamer
instant noodles
peanut butter (sobs!!!!)

Sheesh, that's almost everything I eat, on a daily basis. And not forgetting those hawker food? Tell me, how can anyone not consume more than 2g( the recommended maximum per day) of trans fat per day?? And how does one size them up anyway?

In Denmark, they actually ban foods containing more than 2g of trans fat per 100g of oil or fat.
In Canada, the amount of trans fat must stated on food labels.
Good move I say. Those westerners are forever more health conscious than us Asians. For what? Trying to live longer? Or cos the ratio of obese people is higher?
Actually for most Asians who live to eat, I guess maybe the trend won't be picked up anytime soon.
But being the person that I am, eek, I, um, am willing to sacrifice good food(peanut butter, sobs) for the sake of my heart. *not convinced with myself*

Speaking of which, have I mentioned about the chocolate-peanut butter smoothie in Manhanttan Fish Market? I tell you, it's even better than ecstasy.

Oh and does anybody know how much school fees in local international schools cost? Cos few days ago while Dad was chatting with the Egyptian doctor upstairs ( and I had to wait at the side , carrying my big fuzzy teddy) he mentioned that he spends bout RM30000 per month to send his 3 kids to the International Japanese School nearby.
That's ridiculous.
How can anyone spend so much on school fees alone?? And those kids are only in primary school, for goodness' sake. I passed by the IJS so many times and seriously , that school is not impressive at all. Pretty tiny and rundown for them to charge so high. Since he's an ENT specialist on loan by the government, I think he's paid pretty handsomely for his job. But it's still so not worth it to spend so much on school fees. Don't know whether I heard wrongly or he said wrongly.

How I wish I was filthy rich.

Question: What irks me (and I guess you too) the most during this time of the year?
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Answer: Freaking CHINESE NEW YEAR SONGS!!!!!!!!!

I hate CNY songs.
I hate people who like CNY songs.
I hate people who play CNY songs.(when it's not CNY yet)
I hate people who sing along to CNY songs.
I hate people who idolize singers who sing only CNY songs.
I hate people who buy lame albums with only CNY songs in it.
I hate people who buy those albums every year despite them containing the same songs but by different singers.
Seriously, I wonder if people actually do that. But I do know of lame singers coming out with a CNY album every year. -_-'''

Oh, and I hate people who hang huge red lanterns outside their houses when CNY is still months to go.

Haven't updated in a long while now as I wasn't in the mood to do so for the past many days cos I was "busy" coming to terms with few things. And yeah, I've finally made up my mind to take up the offer by Adelaide after many days of frustration, waiting and tears.
And here's what I think of the pros for going to Adelaide:
  1. Someone to look out for (after) me when I'm there
  2. Accomodation all taken care of
  3. Won't be so lonely since Jie is there
  4. It's not such a "sleepy" town contrary to popular believes. Has everything you need but still not too busy and congested
  5. Definitely not a place filled with sheeps and cows!! (as said by this stupid guy I met in OH.I don't care if you're decades older than me and is a pastor or whatever) That's like equating KL to a place filled with trishaw pullers and rubber estates and tin mines everywhere!

Not getting the jitterbug yet. No anxiety attacks. No butterfly in my stomach. No preparations yet. After all,

What to bring-- ask Jie

What to buy-- ask Jie

Excess baggage-- dump it with Jie and KL

:)))

Anyways I'm pretty grateful I have parents willing to let me study somewhere other than this region. Have a sister willing to accomodate a very untidy me in her house and terrorize her silly meow meow. Not having to waste my months away and start uni soon :))

And something very ironic just dawned on me too. It's funny how Jie went to Australia and got a Malaysian and Erjie went to Singapore but is marrying and Aussie instead.

As for me, I only want one guy! And he must meet all these criterias! Malaysian, stays in Permas Jaya and sometimes in Taman Melawati, self proclaimed 6 footer, likes to slouch , actually belongs to a family of sloths but seperated at birth, eats like no tomorrow, likes to drive with one hand (and holding mine with the other), supports Arsenal, a canto drama follower, and is currently in Singapore settling some affairs cos he wants to go to Melbourne. GRRRR!!!!

And I miss him so so damn much!!!!

Headache ! Headache ! Headache!
Argh!!!! If I could just freaking get an answer from them I'll be spared of all this agony...
Stupid people taking their own sweet time to do their job while I sit around and ... sigh...
I don't know whether I should wait longer since the offer from A is pretty good. I mean with lodging and place all settled , maybe I shouldn't be so choosy. But all i really need now is just an answer from M!! Yes or no!!! Can't u bloody freaking tell me soon?? Just for some form of closure actually... SIGH...

Actually went back to Kluang this afternoon. Main duty was to be Mum's bodyguard. Since we always park one car in the Kluang house, so today while driving grandparents back to Kluang for their medical appointment, Mum left the car at home as well. We took a bus back. Had to settle for the 9pm bus since tickets were all sold out thanks to school reopening tomorrow. Those poor things... *chuckles*

Speaking of which, Kluang is a horrible place!!!! The roads are so bloody congested , thanks to increasing number of vehicles on the road and no signs of road expansion or sorts. Couple this with bad driving and you get the perfect blood boiler on the road. Sheesh , what used to be a mere 10 minutes drive into town now takes like 20 minutes and a few burst veins. And when you're really unlucky, you get stuck in the massive pile up due to the closure of the railway gate. Seriously, isn't it time to do something already? Someone should really tell the town-council- municipal-whatever about it.
But surprisingly, I can't fathom the seams are bursting right now considering the steady efflux of the youngsters. I don't think any of my sister's friends or at least of her generation (note: who are least 25 years old) have remained in Kluang save the less educated ones.
Maybe at the same time, families are forming there. Or people are reproducing . Fast. Maybe even exponentially cos I don't recall seeing such massive crowds there just about 4 months ago.
Whatever it is, Kluang is still infested with Ah Bengs and their Lotuses ( no, not the car silly!)
Haha, I make them sound like crockoaches. Or maybe only the crockoaches are reproducing exponentially cos that's what they are capable of.
If you want Kluang coffee, go get it in OneU. Although I heard that place is always packed.
I so deserve the title "Year's Best Ambassador of Kluang" :)

Guess what , 2006 is over. Just like that.
A very eventful year indeed. Ah... need I say more..
Ironically I have nothing much to say this time round cos right now, loads of uncertainties await me and yeah, what's the point of talking about something that you have no control over.
So right now, all I can do is,

Just wishin', and hopin', and thinkin', and prayin'
Planning and dreamin' my problems be solved
That won't get you any answers!
So if you're thinking how great IT is to me
All I gotta to is
Hold it, and kiss it and squeeze it and love it
Just do it and after you do
It will be MINE
Happy 2007 everyone.
May the coming year bring blessings to you and all loved ones.
Cheers.
