I have something to share.

When pride comes , then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom.
-Proverbs 11:2

Pride goes before destruction,
a haughty spirit before a fall.
-Proverbs 16:18

Pride brings a person low,
but the lowly in spirit gain honour.
-Proverbs 29:23

Week after week, what Ps Chiew Har has been saying to us during our lessons has been like a bull eyes straight to my heart. Being the egomaniac that I am, I realized the core to my problems like being so worried about what others think of me is PRIDE( a high or inordinate opinion of one's own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing, conduct, etc. ). I don't want people to think I'm stupid, less worthy or anything else because I would like to think of myself much better. And this is exactly what will bring me down for pride is the one stopping us from accepting criticisms or being corrected. The scriptures pretty much speak for themselves.

Also,
Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the faith of God has distributed to each of you.
-Romans 12:3

There is a fine line between dignity and pride which needs to be distinguished. Dignity is about giving yourself the self respect that you yourself earned and deserve.
All in all, I'm just trying to say there shouldn't be over statements or even under statements as testimonies in life, just the plain who we are.
I hope all these make sense.

The weather has been really depressing of late. It's wet, cold, windy and the skies turn dark at about 5.45pm. And it's only autumn.
Thank God I'm not fighting to keep myself from getting hypothermia in some place like Russia or Canada or even Greenland.
:(
It's time for Monday blues.

What better way to wake up than to receive a package for yourself?
Something I've been waiting for. Thanks dear for pacifying and satiating this very demanding gf you have.

Cats are really intuitive creatures. She's hiding away under my bed as soon as we mentioned "shower". And I'm supposed to give her the wet towel later on as if like that can get her cleaned. Urm... prep talk anybody?

Deal or no deal?

Click on it if u wanna see o9ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppty ( Mittens typed that part) Mitten's photo. Or you could chat to me on msn.

Since Chareli posted this up on her blog I shall do too and call the world to be our witness. Here's the deal:
When I move out, I have to live on my own for 2 whole weeks without running back , crying to my sis and I stress crying. *snigger*
And during that course of time, I have to whip up 2 dishes on my own , 1 being a rice dish and the other entirely up to my choice. Having done the above mentioned, I am entitled to receive AUD10 from Ms Seet Chareli aka teesilerahc ( this alter ego thingy which Geminis have =_=)
I say , money come to momma !!!
But I guess this has got to wait since I'm not sure if I'll be moving out anytime soon.
But I've got all the time in the world to do that don't I ? Unless I end up in prison for the rest of my life or in the morgue. CHOY!!!

And, I've been tagged by miss Qw to list out 6 things weird bout myself. Sigh, here goes:

1.I talk to my teddy bear. Yes you saw that right. No biggie rite? After all my sis talks to Mittens all the time.

2. I'm so scared of snakes that I won't even touch pictures of snakes on papers, magazines, encylopedia whatever. Basically, snakes on prints freak me out as well.

3. I love the smell of chlorine water ie those in swimming pool. Reminds me of the fun times swimming back in sec school.

4. I have mood swings all the time. And I'll get extremely depressed and pessimistic and my poor bf has to be the receiving end of all the enless tearful ramblings and rantings and being-sorry-for-myselfs.

5. I prefer to sleep without a pillow.

6. I like to kill mosquitos. Haha.. for what they did to me

And I shall end here.

Digressing,
Ryan Gosling is really cute :)

Someone say R-A-N-D-O-M !

Morialta Falls.

It was all dried up cos of the draughts. Drats.

We chose the easiest of all trails naturally.
Actually most of the pics are scattered all over other people's cameras. Think it'll take some time before I actually get to see them all. Here are the ones I had.

My life group :)

With Christine and Debra.

Lookie here koala!!

Was browsing online for some brides maids dresses and saw this site. www.uglydress.com It's really funny about people sharing their bad experience with ugly weddings and just ugly things they have to go through just to make the brides feel better bout themselves.
Anyway, I love weddings! Especially being a part of it and that does not include being the bride. Feel so happy for er jie :) And I really wish to contribute a little more but sobs I'm going back 2 days before the wedding. Hope I get to go back this July. Hehe change of plans again. Really miss everybody back home a lot. Wanna go back to Sg so much!! Didn't get to spend a lot of time there during the hols also. Sad stuff...

On another note, went cycling around North Adelaide today. And the weather was just superb for cycling. Cloudy but not too cold. Fed the swans around Torrens River too.
Hehe I kinda freaked out when they got too close for comfort. Was trying to feed e swans but couldn't hold on to the bread long enough to snap a pic. All I can say is ahah, birds aren't really my friends.

And there was this stupid swan that attacked my hair rubber band thinking it was bread.Damn you, swan!

Furry swan-lings!
Cycling was pretty fun la.Haven't done it in ages and I really mean ages. Should do this more often since my stamina is pretty not good at all.
Also, North Adelaide has all the nice houses. And I really like quaint cottages a lot. IF I do settle down in Adelaide one day, I most prolly would have one of those nice houses. Very European looking.
Look what we found!

It was barking at us non stop initially but stopped after a while. There was another head popping out also at first but they are quite cowardly actually. Cos whenever I went nearer they would back away from the door. Keke...

That's all for now. Have to start revising for ADM and Microecons test soon.

Yay new skin! Like it??

Lazy to upload photos. Went out for so called hiking at Morialta Falls this morning cos it was more of a stroll in e nature reserve park and stopping every 10m to take photos. Keke... saw a few koalas along the way and everyone went gugu gaga.
Oh and e koala pang sai for us to see as well. How very polite.

Then after that, shopping at Rundle again! With Christine this time.Went there in our hiking gear and dusty shoes. Looks a bit unglam though and my hair was perpetually messy. There were sales at Myer and a few items cos there was about 25-30% off for some items. And there's this thing about those cashiers here. It's like this cashier having to make comments on every single piece of item that I bought, commenting on my very ugly visa debit card which doubles up as an atm card as well and then she was commenting on this cardi i bought like saying " oh that's a splendid colour!" then turn ard and told e girl next to her and kept asking her to agree with her that it was a nice colour indeed. Maybe I made a bad choice la. That's why she had to bising so much.
One week of break gone in a flash. What a bummer. At least managed to finish my psychotic essay. One more week of slacking to look forward to.

Have a wonderful Sunday everybody. And a splendid week ahead. And that's a marvellous choice you've made by spending the last 3 minutes or so reading this pathetic post.

Tell me, do you find this clip freaky?

Don't know why but a lot of people seem to find it this way. Used to find the song annoying but it turned out to be quite addictive.
That's Peter, Bjorn and John's Young Folks.

I like this as well. Damn old school la wei. Let's Call it off by PBJ also.

And this one too. It's such an old song. Perfect song for housewives.
Paula Cole, Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?

Ish supposed to be doing my psychology essay. What was supposed to be a 7 week assignment turn into a 3 week assignment , thanks to everybody's great pal- Mr Proscratinator.
What a way to spend my holidays. And I've got 3 different assignments all due on the same day on 17th of May. Damn suey. Seems like a long way to go but I think the stupid IS assignment will take up a lot of time since I'm still a noob in using Microsoft Access.
:'(
And I really wanna go Gold Coast in July. But Sydney will do fine also la. Dunno why airfare to Sydney costs more than to GC.

Lunch time. ciao to chow.

Been lazy to update lah.

To start off with, I'm on my mid sem break now! 2 weeks of slacking (as if I haven't been already) and a 1000 word assignment plus 2 tests after this awaits me. Wow whee.

And I finally got a new phone too! Settled down for this :

Check out the reflective surface man! Gotta keep it clean quite often but I'm not complaining

I particularly like this feature. Yea yea I focus more on the aesthetic part of things like most people do.
Got this phone in the end cos there weren't any other pink phones available on the cap plans. The Motorzrs like V3x or V3i were just too old to give away. What a pity but again, I'm not complaining.

Going to be paying off this phone for the next 24 months. Sheesh, life sucks when you're a poor undergrad who can't afford to do any decent shopping if you want decent food and vice versa. Does anybody watch My Super Sweet 16 on MTV?? It just a whole bunch of crap! Planning for 6 months for a bloody 16th birthday party??!! Guess they'll spend the rest of their life planning for their 60th birthday party then. And flipping at your dad cos they couldn't get some super mega star attend your puny birthday party!? What bull crap this world is. I wouldn't spoil my daughter like that even if I make it big in life. I'll prolly spoil myself only. Hehe kidding.. But I know my life is well taken care of by the Almighty One. What I'll do without Your grace? How could I turn my back on You for 20 long years? Can't believe I've been as blind as that. But I am sure not blind now :) It's so amazing that I'd end up in Adelaide after so many weeks of Adelaide vs Melbourne torment and how e offer ended up in my spam folder (-_-''') if it wasn't because of God's plan for me.
Ok what else? Congratulations to me cos I'm now officially a lisenced diver! Yay! And I've plenty of "souvenirs" as well - shoulder ache, bruises and cuts on my hands, sore hipbone and a tanline on my wrists. Perhaps I was just too lousy and unfit that's why.
From LTR : Rosie( our instructor ), Dean(he's an archeologist!), Jake, Melanie(dive buddy from Germany), Me :) , Waikeat(the nice guy who has been giving me lifts). That boat was there to bluff people only lah. We didn't go for any boat dives.

A pretty small class but it's good to have more attention. The dive centre is affiliated to the Scuba Schools International(SSI). But I think PADI is more popular in Malaysia.
And this course is pretty much focused on familiarising with skills rather than sight seeing. There wasn't much to see to begin with.

The dive centre was this double storeyed shop lot with the equiptments store and office on the ground floor and the classrooms and pool were upstairs. The pool was actually 9m deep and the water was pretty smelly. And it was freezing down there. Since the pool ran all the way down to the ground floor , there was this tiny window in the middle of the pool looking out into the office which I find pretty funny to see a printer sitting there while you're half way descending.

And for the past 2 lessons, we did ocean dive from a jetty at the beach. Lots of people there in the morning fishing away. The biggest downside was carrying all our diving gear on our backs and walk the never ending jetty for our dives. Plus weight belts! Argh! And mine was 9kg for the first dive. And it really hurts my hipbone.

Almost couldn't make it for the first dive on Sat morning prolly cos I didn't eat any breakfast that day. Now I really know the importance of breakfast and as usual have to learn it the hard way. And I really think I'm getting more and more physically unfit. The others were carrying it like no sweat like that while I was dragging my feet across. Especially Jake, he's only 13 years old! And even Waikeat also. He's skinnier and lighter than me also. That's really bad...

Putting on the wet suit was another huge chore too. Especially when it's wet and COLD. Ugh... that's really what everybody yaks about when we're putting on our wetsuit. Another thing was since there were lots of people fishing up there, the fishing line got caught and tangled up on one of us also which was really something very unusual to happen. But we did tug at a few fish lines for fun. Kekeke...

All in all , I spent AUD325 for the course and another $310 for the diving gear which consisted of flippers, boots, mask and snorkels. Think it's money quite well spent and I can't wait to go for another dive. Should prolly do it more often to fully utilize the equiptments before they are subjected to depreciation.

Jie and KL threw their engagement party at home on Saturday too. I think they did a pretty good job. But I felt so out of place since everybody there were doctors or medical students that I went and hide in the room after eating some stuff. But luckily Christine and Chris were there as well to entertain me.

That's the one and only photo I snapped for the day. Another pink ribbon, another new toy for Mittens.

Tata for now.
