Man, THIS just brings back so much memories especially now that exams are drawing near and it's time to hit the books again.
And you'll be feeling like this after many hours of mugging.
One thing I learnt from all the mugfests is to.. never study on the bed! It never worked for me though cos one minute you'll go from this,
to this,

And this. Me in full sleeping mode. It's no wonder why I always felt like I haven't studied anything at all.

Of course the photos weren't taken in sequential order. Really, anyone suffering from insomnia should just grab my lecture notes and guaranteed knock out after 15 minutes or so.

And for me, there's no such thing as taking a short 10 minute snooze while studying. Cos 10 minutes of this and there'll be no turning back.

The thing is, if you're really tired or had enough of studying already just go ahead turn off the lights and get into bed and get a better sleep that way rather than forcing yourself to stay up.
All pictures courtesy from my very shutterbug ex-roomie who has a particular fondness of snapping photos of sleeping people.

One thing about staying in a hostel is that you get to see all the peculiar sleeping patterns of fellow roomies or hostelmates. Like Ruxing here who unfortunately was only with us for half a year.

Doesn't this reminds you of the leg popping thingy which Anne Hathaway always does in the Princess Diaries?

This one really freaked us out cos we thought her eyes were actually opened.

Well for more pictures of sleeping people on the bus, in lectures, libraries, MRTs or on their own bed, go visit the link above.

They say that hunger is controlled by the central nervous system.

The pinkish kidney bean looking thingy are the lateral hypothalamus which stimulates hunger. If it's destroyed, we lose all interest for food.
On the other hand, the blueish kidney beans are the ventromedial hypothalamus which depresses hunger. And if destroyed, will continue eating beyond satiety.

So what do you get when there's a lesion in the ventromedial hypothalamus?

You poor thing !

Babi weather today. So totally dreadful :( I'm longing for the sunny tropics! Skies turning dark at 530 really depresses me lah. Think I'll just stay depressed from now till the end of winter lah. Who wants to be my sunshine in the rain??

Eh sorry, that's so oxymoronic. Let's try again. Who wants to be my sunshine (and heater) when it's cold?? *bambi eyed* Where's my babi when I need him?? :'(

Evil feline!!!!!

She peed on my bed and shat on the carpet as well!!!
It was 6 30am this morning when I woke up to her clawing my quilt cover and was about to shove her away when I felt this extremely wet and warm patch just beside my lap and going "hmmm cannot be what, it's not that time of the month what" yes, I thought it was an extremely bad case of leaking from you-know-what and then it dawned on me that it was actually Mittens' nitrogenous waste( I dunno why I used that term, maybe I miss chem too much)!!!!! And guess what? I developed some sort of rashes cos her pee seeped through the quilt and all onto my thigh!! That just goes to show how potent or rather, toxic her urine is.
Blistering barnacles!
Ended up spring cleaning the room which was really in need of one anyway. For now, Mittens is totally prohibited from coming into my room BUT I forgive her. Love thy neighbour, what more, thy cat. And I think ultimately, it's my fault after all for not keeping the bedroom door open.

Had a really splendind weekend =] First up encounter camp from Friday night until yesterday afternoon. I think it was a really great way to get to know God better and simply being in His prescence especially for a new Christian like me. I came out feeling really rejuvenated and just really glad that I was able to be part of the camp where people shared their stories and testimonies and just plain marvelling the amazing works of God. A really short but sweet getaway from the daily routines just to give our full attention to God.

Went back in time for Lifegroup Wars , one of the fornightly events organised by OxyGen. It was kinda like a telematch between life groups. Pretty fun time we had cos our lifegroup was the
most enthu and happening and no prizes for guessing who won in the end :) And our team colour was heh, PINK! Guys really do look good in pink, I'd say. Cos it takes even more guts to wear something in pink. But guys in purple is just wrong lah. That's another story altogether. Or maybe I'm just biased.
Will post pictures once I get hold of them.

Come to think about it, I don't think I've that much of time left till exams. Gah! But soon it'll be all over and... homeward bound!!!!! But fickle me feels like making other plans and going other places.
Hmmm.... think I'd still prefer to go back. I guess I miss home more than I expected myself to. What la, still not really willing to move on. *shrugs*
On another note, GSS has already started! What's there left for me when I go back??!! I miss F21, food, Zara, food,Hereen, food, Taka, food, Vincci, food, midnight shopping, and *continues rambling*
Nah, should probably focus on my exams first.
Gosh, how much I hate IS!

HOLA

New skin again! Bleah had such a not easy time changing everything. But it's done finally! Was supposed to change to something that can fit my imeem better but this new one didn't help much either.

Some form of evidence to prove that I really did bake something.

Very ingenius way of getting the pastry puff into circles(I would like to think). Nah, I didn't use the knife really.

Strawberry apple galletes :) Was hoping mine would resemble something like that.

Hear me sizzle!

Voila! My very own galletes. Not bad at all eh? Wouldn't say I'm extremely proud of myself since it was really very simple actually. Hehe, at least the reviews weren't too bad and nobody landed up in hospital!
So waddya have to say Char?

I feel bad for always calling Cali's blog stagnant now that I haven't been updating much.
Tonnes of excuses for that. Procrastination/busy/nothing much to talk bout anyway.
Crunch time for assignments only for a slow worker like me since I have , ok not just me but all accounting students have 2 assignments due on the 17th. KNS! But think I'm almost done, just counting on Waikeat to help me with the query part on my microsoft access assignment. Not that I like to depend on others so much but sometimes when you really can't do it, you gotta ask someone right? And IS is really sucky cos it's all about computers and stuff like hardware, software, network, e-commerce and the lot. I'd seriously prefer trigo or integration or even sucky first order differential equation right now.
Gosh, math is like so eons ago and I don't think I remember how to do first order DE anymore and most of the trigo formula are gone already. And I wonder why did I learn all those junk for in the first place? It was only yesterday when I was looking at my friend's chem lecture notes when I saw (gasp!) pi and sigma bonds and going "I never really understood all these" especially with a lousy tutor like PADDY aka bad sex life when my friend said "I wish I took A levels last time" and I was secretly wishing I didn't drop econs instead. I think it's a waste that us students have to learn all those stuff which wouldn't be of any use in the future.

Ah, enough of that already.(or you wouldn't hear the end of it) Time to let go and stop bearing grudges with the world. *forces a smile*

Went for a fashion show organised by the women's committee of church last night. It was more like an event to celebrate mother's day where they gave out lots of freebies to mothers. The kids who modelled were naturally the biggest hit cos they are just soo... like they were there just for the fun of it rather than modelling, you get what I mean. And they performed this song which was just oh-so-saccharinely-heartwarming! Makes me miss my mummy even more. :'( ♥ you MUM!

And while going back, we had to share the bus with this bunch of aboriginese juveniles who kept asking us for smoke. And on the bus, this girl, totally oblivious to everything else , starting swearing away at a guy for cheating on her sister and suddenly there was a racial spat between 2 different groups of juvies. It really felt as if I was on a school bus filled with primary school kids where all the kids fight with each other or shout and scream at the top of their lungs. Tsk, Ah lians are just so omnipresent -_-

By the time we reached the city, it was already too late to catch the connecting bus so we decided to walk back. Luckily Alvin was there to walk us back and he doesn't even stay within the city but has to walk all the way back. He reckon it'll be a good time for some meditation(while walking) especially after the very disturbing bus ride.

Some random photos.

Bought this for only 50 bucks! Spending money unnecessarily again.

But I reckon since it was a pretty good buy and looks okay(pink la what else) might as well get it and save myself from regretting next time cos there were only a few pieces left.

Ah.... Krispy Kreme! Definitely lives up to its reputatioin for being the world's yummiest doughnuts. Hope they come to Adelaide soon! Gourmet Glaze will definitely be put out of business that time.

Oh, and some amazing sites to share! www.tv-links.co.uk and www.veoh.com for all the more popular tv shows , cartoons, anime and so on! Now I don't have to watch Deathnote by parts anymore! Yay!

And... something to muse about:
According to Dr Robert Rey aka Dr 90210, people who write their 'y's without the tail coming up are insecure. After checking through the journal I kept during my OCIP trip(cos it was the closest thing to diary I've ever had and yes, it's the red notebook with lots of stupid looking elephants on it and yes , I still have it although I don't use it anymore) and wherever I have my name written on, I conclude that my security level fluctuates within seconds since I write different types of 'y's within the same sentence. For eg, I tend to write my "yay"s with the first 'y' being straight and the second one being loopy.
Seriously, I think I'm too complicated for my own good.
