I dunno if the baby boomers( I assume most of our parents are) conspired to copulate around November to December because August is a month filled with birthdays!! To name a few there are my 2 sisters, Christofu, his sister Christine, Kuan Lee, Raynu, Sumi, Jason and heaps of other people I know as well.

Then there's Malaysia's birthday too. Happy Merdeka btw.

First up, Jie's birthday. Naturally, Mittens has to be a part of it. She totally adored those flowers.

Meow, the flowers are pretty! Perhaps I made them even prettier!

* Jie: this is gonna take me thrice the effort to burn all those calories than it did 2 years ago*

Love those insanely cute birthday favours and cakes too from COCOLAT ♥♥

While she got showered with gifts and a lovely dinner at Assagio( did I spell it correctly?) , an absolute yum,

Kuan Lee here only had 2 cupcakes from COCOLAT (again?!) for his 28th which fell a week after. Poor thing...

Hmmm... so when I grow up, I want 1 big bunch of flowers , 2 eat-now-regret-later cakes and a nice dinner for every birthday from my bf/fiance/husband! Throw in some jewelry and handbags and I promise I won't turn into a frumpy and naggy gf/fiancee/wife :P

And for Christine's birthday, Chris planned this literally huge surprise for her with loads of people from church and med school jamming her apartment.

Dear's birthday falls on the same day. I admit my efforts this year pale in comparison to last year's. Maybe it's the distance. I bet he had fun in his own way and with his own mates. Still can't really get over him losing that bigass birthday card I made last year.

There were so many times when I just felt like screaming my head off at him, but maybe I've been too hard on him since things like this only makes up the material part of the relationship but it really meant a hell lot to me since it was the most I ever did for anybody.

Then for Jason's birthday, I made the cheesecake ( again! )

For the record, those tiny bulging up bits are NOT clumpy cream cheese but tiny chocolate shards.

The lot of us went over to North Adelaide for drinks and AB's. Silly poses always involve mouth opening, don't ask me why.

Someone got Jason some of his latex best buds. No wonder the smile.

See Kit with the breath alcohol analyser.

Back to St Ann's. Jason with his cake. All smiles since he didn't know what awaited him. Keke...

What's a birthday without some "saboh"-ing?

Force fed him this sandwich with wasabe and pickled ginger and he had to "quench" his thirst with some awful cocktail made of ginger, pepper, salt, oyster sauce, soya sauce among many other things, courtesy of Yong-ge-Ling. Jason only managed a sip. TSK!

I think he had fun especially with the bevy of beauties(ehem) who accompanied him that night.

The end of August is here finally! One thing worth rejoicing for is that the weather has been really fine this past week! Especially today, with a maximum of 27 degrees. Feels really good to step out in t-shirt and shorts only after so long. But the winds were quite crazy. And my bare legs got hit by the tiny stones carried by this super strong gush of wind cos I was standing right next to a "tree bed" when the wind came lashing out at us and made me almost immobile. Geez... too bad didn't see anybody wearing a flouncy skirt today. Hehe...

Well, that's all for now. It's almost 3am but I'm surprisingly not too beat. Going for Brook Fraser tomorrow! Yayyyyyyyy :))

This song seems to be stuck in my head now. Perhaps my brain has the ability of conjuring up songs from my memory whichever that deems the most apt with whatever moods I'm in.

Best friends for now?

Unlike some people I know, I don't have any friends whom I've grown close to since young and still play a big part in my life now, meaning still seeing each other frequently be it at uni, church, whatever. I've best friends or really close mates from primary school all the way to junior college and at each stage, we had really great fun, built strong bonds etc. Try as you may, separation is inevitable and by the time you realize it, everybody's heading different places and moving on with their lives. Before you start wondering if I'm still living in stone age with no phone, msn, facebook(it's addictive! u've been warned)/friendster, even blogs... YES, I do know their existence and I do use them to keep in touch with friends but... it's just not the same anymore, if you get what I mean.

When I was younger, I used to read all those girly magazines and one of their favourite phrases was " Boyfriends come and go, but friends are forever" and the me then was nodding away and going uh-huh, uh-huh. But now, I feel like even friends come and go. You either leave a place for another and get new friends or your friends leave you for some other places and whatever. Ever heard of this chinese saying that goes " bu zai hu tian chang di jiu, zi zai hu cheng jing yong you" which kinda translates into: the memory of being and time spent together is actually more important than an eternity together. And then there's the issue with people who change over the years which then sours friendship or relationship when the other party just can't accept them for who they are anymore. I think a lot of times, that's why long term relationships or even marriages fail. I have no idea why am I suddenly rambling bout all these either but it just kinda saddens me because life is so fickle.

Oh, and there's this facebook application called Polyvore which I'm so freaking addicted to. And I was so happy when some random stranger commented on this set I made and even made it a favourite :) That made (whatever little's that left of ) my day.

For now, I've kinda ran out of ideas. I actually only created 4 polyvore sets but I love browsing through all the items especially by colours. Go check it out if you're into making collages.

Time sure flies, am already going into 5th week of second semester next week. But I still have this chronic zit that's been there ever since I came back. Grrrr.... maybe I've been taking too much chocolates. Cocoa rush gave me a pimple rush instead. =_=

Can't wait for September to come :) I have the mid semester break and.... SNOW PATROL(!!!) to look forward to . Yippeee ... Spring's coming too and the cherry blossoms are blooming! But winter seems to be rather persistent. Putting up a strong fight just before spring comes and kick his ass away because the temperature has dipped and the winds are crazy. Just some random musing, I wonder if short and stocky people have a lower chances of being swept away by winds as opposed to those tall and lanky people? Since they have a lower center of gravity?

Ok, ok, that's enough of ramblings already. Wanna go back to the never ending movie quiz which I am also hooked on to.
There are a hundred things I need and want to do but the only thing I'm doing is using nonsensical facebook applications! I seriously need some help...

Cocoa rush!

Had Chocolate Bean's chocolate filth again today. Awesome as usual!

I really love their chocolate sauces. Wish I could gulp it all down and the fact that they serve it in those tiny shot glass gives me even more urge to do so. I still think Max Brenner's drinking chocolate are the best but seems like the company I went with didn't quite enjoy it. Maybe they don't go so well with tropical weathers.

Making you drool yet? The white coloured liquid is NOT white chocolate sauce but just condensed milk. Cheat my feelings only! That's Hsien Fei doing the honours. She's the type who knows where all the good food are and can afford to eat and eat and eat but just wouldn't gain an ounce. We were actually walking from my place to hers when we walked past Chocolate Bean and it was just beckoning us to go in even though it was only minutes away from dinner. But us girls are just never too full for desserts :) And you think being a girl sucks.

Speaking of Hsien Fei, she went back a couple of weeks ago. We went visiting some places the week before she left. Ok, we only went to the State Museum and Art Gallery, that's all. Thought the zoo wouldn't be too worth the money and Adelaide Zoo just doesn't sound appealing to me. I guess the only zoo I've been to is the Singapore Zoo but that's good enough for me already.

State Museum.

I'm not sure if they cut the tail off but this thing just bewilders me.
Sigh haven't been blogging much lately. There are so many things on my mind right now and I've been worrying a lot lately. Far too much really. I don't know why la but there are just far too many things bothering me right now. Talking about it doesn't help make me feel better so don't ask me what it is.
