Attempted to try out this do-wonders-to-your-skin formula Persis told me about.
AVOCADO+ condensed milk.
Yes, avocado! Sounds disgusting to me intially. I'm definitely not an avocado fan. In fact I find the thing pretty revolting actually. I hate it when they put it into the unagi roll. It's like this lump of soggy and mushy and tasteless but still tastes like butter thing that's just... YUCKY.
So when Persis divulged in us her secret to flawless skin, I thought I should give it a try too especially after seeing Ee May eating an avocado that day like it was the most delicious thing ever ( ok, I exaggerated, she wasn't).
So Jia Ching told me how he usually eats them with condensed milk with a bit of ice (?) (and he has nice complexion too btw) then I thought I might as well make into a smoothie. Out I went to buy this pack of avocado which is still rock hard but the expiry date is actually on Friday and I thought I had to finish up soon. But seriously, who gives fruits and veges expiry date anyway?
It took me forever to pry the avocado open. Was close to slicing my fingers countless of times and used 3 knives of different sizes before I succeeded in doing so. And then... I realized it was too raw to be consumed. Geez... feeling like an idiot after that. And I thought avocado is like the easiest thing to cut after seeing how those sushi train people always make it look so easy. Still don't get why the expiry date is on Friday when it's still so raw. Ok I know fruits don't really have an expiry date but it was misleading. And I just made myself sound like an airhead.
So in the end I still had fun with the blender. Made a milo ice blended in the end. Hmm... avocado smoothie.. I think I should add in a bit of something else like youghurt or some berries and pitch that idea to the Boost Juice people...
Meanwhile.... stupid avocadoes, RIPEN!!!!!

Check out my bridesmaid dress!! A really light hue of pink with black lace! I gotta agree splendid taste in things do run in my family :)

Good thing my er jie is not a bridezilla who forces her bridesmaids to wear the ugliest things on earth on her wedding day. Some brides do do that so as to make themselves appear better. What losers -_-!!!
I said check out the dress, not the mess!
All the padding make my bust appear larger than usual, keke... And it's a bit too large for me at the moment that's why it was wise for Erjie to mail them over instead cos I'm only going back 2 days before the wedding. Meanwhile, the dress is a good motivation for me to not gain any weight! It fits just nice on my waist and hips.
Wheee.. can't wait for the wedding! I guess I'm dateless for that day. Anyone interested? :P
Anyway, meet Snoopy! The cutest 9/10 week old puppy in town!

He's absolutely adorable and tiny! He looks really petrified in this picture but he's really a ball of energy most of the time. Hardly even sleeps. He's actually Kuanlee's sister's puppy but he spent a night here last week and he was still up at 3 am jumping around everytime I went to check on him.

Naturally, somebody isn't really excited about it.

He just keeps moving around so I couldn't snap a really good picture of him. Oh well, plenty of time for me to do so in time to come.
Andddd.... meet the BOZOES at home!

That's what you get for using my camera without my permission!!

Kuan Lee has never seen a pair of twin bananas before.
Lastly, meet the coolest life group on earth!! Come on, have you seriously met anyone as cool as us???

That was in the adventure playground at St Kilda. It's like a playground(duh) with blown up versions of playground favourites like see-saw(it was huuuge), slides and swings. Had quite a ball there last week. We even played kejar kejar. Oh my, what fun it was!! The video Ernestine posted on facebook is just HILARIOUS!!!! *coughs cossomeonewasscreamingaway coughs*
Nigel from SYTYCD said Hairspray is the movie that leaves a perpetual grin on your face without you knowing why. And he's soo right! I actually didn't plan to watch it for the second time but we decided to sneak in since we came out from Rush Hour3 (it was so-so only la) and saw people queing up to get in for Hairspray and thought why not , cos there wasn't anyone there to check our tickets.
The marginal benefit of watching Hairspray for me far exceeds anything else at the moment.
Speaking of which, I have a Macro test on Tuesday. ARGH!
And my exams are in 4 weeks exactly. ARGH!!!!

What a difference 3 weeks make.Just wait and see
You gotta hear what I say
I'm in love with you
I'm not so far away
Someday, someday
I will be here babe
Someday, someday
I will be the one babe
Someday? Yeah right, that someday never came for me. Never seems like a very strong statement but what lay ahead of us really looks bleak. I feel like such a failure, really. Does being in a relationship means making tonnes and tonnes of sacrifices? If it is (which I strongly think so actually) then I don't think I deserve to be in one.
On the other hand, I'm actually quite surprised at my ability to move on. Guilty even, considering how I felt like my world has ended not too long ago.
Fate always plays funny games on you, yes it does.
