To start off with, I'm on my mid sem break now! 2 weeks of slacking (as if I haven't been already) and a 1000 word assignment plus 2 tests after this awaits me. Wow whee.
And I finally got a new phone too! Settled down for this :

Check out the reflective surface man! Gotta keep it clean quite often but I'm not complaining

I particularly like this feature. Yea yea I focus more on the aesthetic part of things like most people do.
Got this phone in the end cos there weren't any other pink phones available on the cap plans. The Motorzrs like V3x or V3i were just too old to give away. What a pity but again, I'm not complaining.
Going to be paying off this phone for the next 24 months. Sheesh, life sucks when you're a poor undergrad who can't afford to do any decent shopping if you want decent food and vice versa. Does anybody watch My Super Sweet 16 on MTV?? It just a whole bunch of crap! Planning for 6 months for a bloody 16th birthday party??!! Guess they'll spend the rest of their life planning for their 60th birthday party then. And flipping at your dad cos they couldn't get some super mega star attend your puny birthday party!? What bull crap this world is. I wouldn't spoil my daughter like that even if I make it big in life. I'll prolly spoil myself only. Hehe kidding.. But I know my life is well taken care of by the Almighty One. What I'll do without Your grace? How could I turn my back on You for 20 long years? Can't believe I've been as blind as that. But I am sure not blind now :) It's so amazing that I'd end up in Adelaide after so many weeks of Adelaide vs Melbourne torment and how e offer ended up in my spam folder (-_-''') if it wasn't because of God's plan for me.
Ok what else? Congratulations to me cos I'm now officially a lisenced diver! Yay! And I've plenty of "souvenirs" as well - shoulder ache, bruises and cuts on my hands, sore hipbone and a tanline on my wrists. Perhaps I was just too lousy and unfit that's why.

From LTR : Rosie( our instructor ), Dean(he's an archeologist!), Jake, Melanie(dive buddy from Germany), Me :) , Waikeat(the nice guy who has been giving me lifts). That boat was there to bluff people only lah. We didn't go for any boat dives.
A pretty small class but it's good to have more attention. The dive centre is affiliated to the Scuba Schools International(SSI). But I think PADI is more popular in Malaysia.
And this course is pretty much focused on familiarising with skills rather than sight seeing. There wasn't much to see to begin with.
The dive centre was this double storeyed shop lot with the equiptments store and office on the ground floor and the classrooms and pool were upstairs. The pool was actually 9m deep and the water was pretty smelly. And it was freezing down there. Since the pool ran all the way down to the ground floor , there was this tiny window in the middle of the pool looking out into the office which I find pretty funny to see a printer sitting there while you're half way descending.
And for the past 2 lessons, we did ocean dive from a jetty at the beach. Lots of people there in the morning fishing away. The biggest downside was carrying all our diving gear on our backs and walk the never ending jetty for our dives. Plus weight belts! Argh! And mine was 9kg for the first dive. And it really hurts my hipbone.
Almost couldn't make it for the first dive on Sat morning prolly cos I didn't eat any breakfast that day. Now I really know the importance of breakfast and as usual have to learn it the hard way. And I really think I'm getting more and more physically unfit. The others were carrying it like no sweat like that while I was dragging my feet across. Especially Jake, he's only 13 years old! And even Waikeat also. He's skinnier and lighter than me also. That's really bad...
Putting on the wet suit was another huge chore too. Especially when it's wet and COLD. Ugh... that's really what everybody yaks about when we're putting on our wetsuit. Another thing was since there were lots of people fishing up there, the fishing line got caught and tangled up on one of us also which was really something very unusual to happen. But we did tug at a few fish lines for fun. Kekeke...
All in all , I spent AUD325 for the course and another $310 for the diving gear which consisted of flippers, boots, mask and snorkels. Think it's money quite well spent and I can't wait to go for another dive. Should prolly do it more often to fully utilize the equiptments before they are subjected to depreciation.
Jie and KL threw their engagement party at home on Saturday too. I think they did a pretty good job. But I felt so out of place since everybody there were doctors or medical students that I went and hide in the room after eating some stuff. But luckily Christine and Chris were there as well to entertain me.
