My top 3 picks for summer movies!!!
Movie version of Twilight. Judging from the trailer, I don't think it'd live up to my expectations or how I had pictured it to be, just like Harry Potter. Anyways, the guy who acted as Edward was Cedric Diggory in HP. Now you wonder why he looks familiar. But I don't like him!! He's way too not good looking to be Edward!!I don't think anybody can be Edward in fact. I'd imagined him to be like James Franco-ish.But someone younger. The brooding, maybe James Dean kinda guy.
But Bella is pretty close to how I imagined her to be. The rest of the actors cast as vampires are also quite average looking. I guess it's quite impossible to find incredibly good looking who can act as well to cast as the vampires because one of the vampire traits is above average good looks(to attract and mesmerize their prey.)Because of how Bella was always harping on how plain she looked next to the vampires, I would've imagined their looks to be quite distinctly different.
For those who do not know, Twilight is the first of a series of 4 novels by Stephanie Meyer. It's essentially a love story between 2 high school kids with a lot of twists.

Of course all these complications come in the subsequent novels, New Moon , Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I've read the first 3 books (I promised myself only to read the last one after exams. SIGH) and I totally understand why it's the latest "it" read.
Which girl wouldn't fantasize about being Bella, a plain-as-you-can-get high school girl with a penchant for attracting accidents and also the center of a love triangle between an achingly handsome vampire and a werewolf with a body Achilles would have envied??
Like how bizarre is it to have these 2
mortal enemies(pun intended) fall so hopelessly in love with a normal, human girl? But the werewolf stories only come more into play in the subsequent novels.
If you think it's impossible for a vampire to even have a relationship with a human, that's because Edward and his coven vampires are all "vegetarian" and opted to lead this alternative lifestyle of not consuming human blood. And all these mythical creatures in the book also do not do the things we have traditionally defined them to do like vampires have reflection, not afraid of garlic and the cross. Werewolves don't eat humans and can transform whenever they please, not only when there's a full moon.
Marley and Me is based on a novel too. Which I unfortunately didn't get to read because of unreliable Australian Post. Grr!
Another chick flick with a wedding theme. Who wouldn't like it????
